Puce Mary - Live in Berlin 2019

For those who don't know, Puce Mary is the solo moniker of Danish-born, LA-based experimental artist, Frederikke Hoffmeier. With a long career in experimental music, countless releases, performances, and collaborations, Puce Mary has reached wide acclaim for their powerful and unique blend of modern industrial and noise music. I have been following her music for a couple of years now, but I never had the pleasure of watching her play live. My luck changed at the end of May 2019 when she performed at Volksbühne Berlin. My goal for this poster was to go in a different direction from the poster I did for the previous concerts I went to. Instead of illustrations or photography, my goal was to work on the text. Only text. I chose the lyrics from one of my favorite songs and decided to use it as a central element in the poster. Another element that I thought it would be interesting to use was highlighted text. This way, I could come up with something new based on the lyrics from this song.
